Guggy loved the beach, but it was cool that day. I had to capture the towel-hogging moment.
Nick, Troy and the kids built an amazing sand structure on the beach. We should've brought a few more shovels.
Baby Kiki loved the beach, and was entertained by Aunt Amber's hat and glasses.
This was when Kiki realized maybe she didn't really love the beach after all.
Bubby loves turtles. We had to go to the turtles very first thing. After watching the turtles for 15 minutes or so, Bubby didn't care what else we did as his Sea World dreams had been fulfilled. Of course, we commemorated our experience with a stuffed turtle. Bubby named him marbles.
Guggy loves roller coasters and was thrilled to ride Atlantis. He and Daddy had the greatest idea to "ride up front". They both got soaked, and we commemorated the experience by buying Guggy a sword imprinted with the words "Sea World". Really, what does a sword have to do with aquatic life?
My dad with baby Kiki. We took the children to the new "Sesame Street Land" area at Sea World. Dad was a good sport, and even took Guggy on a flying fish ride (and everyone knows my dad hates to fly).
Amber was in heaven with all the penguins. We only waited for her to exit the penguin building for about 30 minutes. If you need to get Amber a gift for some reason, make it Penguin pajamas.
Poor little Kiki was all tuckered out by the end of the day. She had recently found her screaming voice, and spent the day squealing and screaming with delight. Luckily, she had Shamu to comfort her at the end of a long day.
We took a little time to celebrate Bubby's birthday since it was the next day (the day of the wedding). Marshall's boy was having a birthday in a few weeks, too. Grandma let them cut their own piece of cake (it looks like she gave them their own entire cake). Kim, a.k.a. party princess, spiced up the evening with some balloon animals and hats.
Bubby did not end the evening well. He ran into a wall and got a huge goose-egg on his head. I blame the drunken behavior on the obscene amount of frosting he ate.

Yes, commercialism is so rife in those parks. I heard that these amusement parks are really glorified retail spaces -- they attract families
by offering shows and rides, but really, all they want you to do is spend, spend, spend! Admission is nearly not enough! :)
Okay, I'll get off of my rant. :) It looks like you and your fam had a blast! Seriously, you can't beat San Diego. That's our next trip for sure!
